Update: Fixed HypeScript and HypeMachine Extension

This post comes from my original WordPress blog, written between 2009 and 2018. It is kept here verbatim as an archive — the formatting did not always survive the move, and I no longer agree with all of it.

Just a quick update.

I've fixed the HypeScript issue and updaed the HypeMachine Chrome extension. Both should be working, please let me know if they are still not.

For those curious as to the fixes they are:

HypeScript:

Had to change the regular expression used to match the id/keys.

HypeExtension:

Changed where the download button is appended to make it always properly visible and aesthetically pleasing still.

You can checkout my commits on GitHub and get the latest extension and hype script. I'll try to update the java GUI batch downloader tonight (I need to re-setup the project again :S )

Hi there, was wondering if you are still working on these things. The python script seems to be broken. There should be an issue with the number of pages. The script isn’t able to process more pages than the first one. Do you have any idea how to fix it?

Is it still not working? I just fixed it, I thought it was ;( People need to file a bug report on the github page for it please otherwise I forget. I’m in the process of moving to Seattle for a new job :)

Hi there,

great extension, it was working a little while ago, but it seems to have stopped. I don’t see the download button anymore. I followed your instructions to a T, and now under extensions Chrome tells me

“There were warnings when trying to install this extension: Support for manifest version 1 is being phased out. Please upgrade to version 2.”

any thoughts?

Hey! Sounds like google might have changed how extensions work! Should be a simple fix. I’ll get right on it as soon as I’m back from my vacation!

More fundamental is that the President is the Commander-in-Chief of the armed feorcs and not the Commander-in-Chief of the economy. The office of the President doesn’t have a lot o power to create jobs no matter how good a candidate’s ideas may be.
